For all parents the education of their children is of the greatest importance and selecting the right school is not an easy task. The benefit of a sound education is one of the greatest gifts a parent can bestow upon a child. It will greatly influence the realization of his/her full potential and will enhance their chances of leading a successful life.

To achieve our aim, we offer :
  • A relevant education for a changing South Africa.
  • A unique caring and friendly ethos.
  • A demanding, yet supportive learning environment.
  • A pupil-centred approach where every pupil is provided with opportunities for individual growth.
  • Excellent facilities and the latest technology.
  • Class sizes that allow for individual attention.
  • Innovative timetabling to maximize time spent on more specialized subjects.
  • A well equipped professional and dedicated teaching staff.
  • A cost-effective education.
Westville Senior Primary has offered a quality education to generations of boys and girls. Pupils who leave this school face the challenges of high school with equanimity and achieve a high level of success. This is illustrated by the number of pupils from this school who gain scholarships and entrance to top private and state-aided high schools, among whom we have an excellent reputation.
STAFF
Any school is a reflection of its management and staff. At Westville Senior Primary we maintain a balance between young, vibrant teachers and highly experienced staff.

Our teachers have led seminars and workshops in the area and taught demonstration lessons, and our on-going staff development programme keeps the staff abreast of the latest trends in education. Emphasis is on teamwork and our teachers are extremely loyal to the school.

Full use is made of the experience, skills and expertise found amongst the parents of our pupils. Farsighted action by Governing Bodies has provided the school with enviable resources and a sound financial basis for future growth and development. Westville Senior Primary School has encouraged its parents to play an active role in the life of the school. Mutual co-operation towards the development of the pupils is considered to be a reason for the continuing success of this school.
SPORTSMANSHIP
This school is well known in KwaZulu-Natal for the success of its sports teams. A wide variety of sporting activities are offered. These include cricket, swimming, rugby, netball, hockey, badminton, tennis, squash, athletics and softball.

Opportunities are created for maximum participation and, in order to provide for all groups, the expertise of teachers, university students and parents is utilized. While sport is played on a keenly competitive basis, great importance is placed on the spirit in which it is played. Good sportsmanship is of paramount importance, as is enjoyment, whichever level the sport is being played at.
CULTURAL ENRICHMENT
Westville Senior Primary boasts a rich cultural curriculum. Full-time Music and Art specialists are employed to teach all the grades.

Self-expression is regarded as a skill that must be nurtured and developed. To this end an annual school dramatic production is produced and our children take part in the Speech and Drama Festival. Our choir is regularly invited to perform at community events and have a reputation for delivering outstanding performances. Our school is renowned for the exceptionally high standard of artwork produced and the number of competitions our pupils have won, is evidence of this.
