Fun in the Sun at the Inter-House Gala

A perfect east coast summer morning made for a wonderful setting for our Annual Interhouse Gala last Friday. The spirit of the supporting parents and children inspired our swimmers to produce some excellent performances. The cameraderie amongst the children, staff and parents saw a day filled with laughter and smiles … and fierce interhouse competition. Special thanks to Myles Brown, our guest of honour who is currently ranked number 1 in South Africa in the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 metre freestyle events. We will be following his performances at the Rio Olympics with interest. Heartfelt thanks to Mr Y Pillay for coordinating the event so skilfully, to all the staff for their hard work and support of the children, and to the parents who took time to join us for what was a very enjoyable morning. Congratulations to Atholl House for their dominant performance and being the worthy winning house on the day. Westville house are to be commended for winning the Spirit Trophy with their very festive support on the day. Congratulations also to our Victor  Ludorum, Caleb Daley and our Victrix Ludorum, Jodie Smart for their excellent overall performances on the day. Special mention must be made of Luca Holtzhausen who broke three individual record in the u12 age group – a truly notable achievement!
