Sharks Rugby Players visit WSPS

On Wednesday, 6 May, the Sharks All-Stars, the official youth supporters club of the Sharks Rugby team, visited our school.  An exciting interactive presentation explaining educational concepts behind professional sport, like eating healthy, exercise and the importance of perseverance enthralled our children.  Sharks Rugby talents, JC Astle and Tondarai Chavanga were on hand to add to the entertainment.  Our 20 Pinetown & Districts Rugby players were personally congratulated by the stars. Our Fabulous Footballers

The 1st Football XI have performed exceptionally well in the preseason thus far. A highly successful tour to Limpopo saw them finish 9th out of 20 schools in the prestigious St Benedict’s Festival on this historic first time football tour for the school. They then won bronze at the Highways Football tournament over the Freedom Day weekend (losing on a penalty shootout in the semi-finals after a 2-2 fulltime score). Our talented School Choir and Marimba Band joined DPHS, St Mary’s and HCA in the “Celebration of Music Choir Evening” hosted in the WSPS School Hall last week and produced an impressive and inspiring performance.
